I thought that doing a literary analysis paragraph for Book IX of The Odyssey was a pretty good idea by Fitz. While me and my peers were writing this paragraph, it made me think back to the beginning of the year when the 8th grade went to Windsor Mountain. We, as a community got to work together throughout different challenges and learn a lot about each other. Although going to Windsor Mountain was dealing with physical challenges, writing this paragraph worked on thinking as a group, and working mentally. In my perspective, I thought that writing this paragraph would be a complete disaster. I thought that everyone would write their own shenanigans, and try to mesh it into each others to make it look good, make it look long and be just right, with no editing or proofreading whatsoever. I thought wrong. Each person in my group took it one step at a time. Our group leader, assigned us separate parts of the paragraph to work on, which I thought was a very intelligent move. It allowed us to stay focused on what we needed to get done, instead of scrambling to finish everything at once. We all got our sections of the paragraph done, gave it some time for editing, and then turned it in with our heads high, and hoping for the best out of it. We still have not gotten our grade back yet, but I think that we, as a group, working together, talking together, and thinking together could really pay off.
